I'm a photographer based in Philadelphia, PA.
My photography is grounded in an interest in the places where people live and work - the streets, neighborhoods, industrial edges, and ordinary spaces that make up a city. I'm particularly drawn to the visual character of working-class communities and to the traces of history, change, and conflict embedded in the landscape.
I work primarily with 35mm film and digital photography, moving between straightforward documentary observation and more experimental approaches.
The darkroom is an important part of that practice, as are alternative processes such as cyanotype and hand-printing. I don't fetishize technique or technology. I use traditional processes alongside modern hybrid analog-digital workflows, choosing whatever tools and methods work in the moment.
My photographs often explore themes of alienation and connection, class, environment, memory, and social change. Philadelphia is a central subject, but the work also develops through travel and encounters with other cities and landscapes.
I'm interested in photographs that feel lived-in rather than polished - images with some evidence of the person, place, and process behind them.
